This information came from the Humanitarian Disaster Institute at https://www.wheaton.edu/academics/academic-centers/humanitarian-disaster-institute/

Helpful Source for Guidance During COVID-19
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many church pastors and congregants find themselves in need of guidance in thorny matters like church reopening, maintaining health during a pandemic, and helping others during these difficult times. Here's one source we can turn to from Wheaton College, the Humanitarian Disaster Institute. They have a wide range of resources ready to help. You may reach out to the Institute through this link: https://www.wheaton.edu/academics/academic-centers/humanitarian-disaster-institute/

Cleaning Up Our Acts
Sermon from June 9, 2019, on Children's Sunday, based on Isaiah 1:15-20. We involve Dr. Seuss's less-than-reliable character of the Cat in the Hat to help illustrate how we can clean up our acts when we create big messes in our lives if we trust in God. Come and see how that all works out together. Join us on Sunday morning for worship if you are in our area!

Fair Wages
The sermon for Sunday, September 30, 2018, covers Matthew 20:1-16, the parable of the Workers in the Vineyard. It explores the issue of fairness from God's perspective rather than humanity's. God's expansive love leads to a surprising level of inclusion. We also explore what "the evil eye" meant back in the day and why we should avoid it today. Have a listen. Peace. Feel free to join us in Sunday worship if you are in the vicinity of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, and do not have a church of your own to attend. All are welcome.
Every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. (with exceptions for the pastor's vacation and power failures), we have a live stream Bible study. You are invited to subscribe on YouTube (it's free) and join: If you'd like a little more information on becoming a subscriber, see the following. National Night Out 2018 Success
![]() |
Join us next year. You all are invited! |
On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, Lansdowne Baptist Church
volunteers put together and operated our booth at the National Night Out in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. We
gave away cold water and candy, along with children’s activity books and
fliers. Information about our church was shared, stories were told, and, yes,
once again, large bubbles were blown. Children were drawn from across the parking lot to pop
those big bubbles and blow their own. When they arrived, parents or grandparents
in tow, those activity books for the kids and fliers for the adults were given
out. One of our volunteers brought a stereo and took those fliers and activity
books all across the grounds, speaking with people about Lansdowne Baptist and giving away those
materials. By the end of the night, nearly all fifty activity books and many
fliers were gone. Thanks to all our talented volunteers. Without the active work and God-given talents of all our volunteers,
this night of evangelistic outreach would not have happened. Thanks to everyone
who made the night a success.

Fliers, activity books, information & candy ... a warm welcome for all. |

We used four straws and two strings to blow large bubbles. Easy peasy. |

Iron Man & God's Armor
Sermon from June 24, 2018, based on Ephesians 6:10-17, comparing Tony Stark's Iron Man suit of armor with the whole armor of God. Super heroes provide a wonderful illustration for biblical points. This sermon explores how best to use the various attributes of God's armor. It allows us to help ourselves and others facing adversity, including the ongoing separation of parents from their children along the US southern border and all the issues associated with this practice.
