Attitude of Gratitude

The sermon for Sunday, October 20, 2019, based on Luke 17:11-19. Exploring the parable of the grateful leper, one of ten healed, who returned to Jesus with praises of thanksgiving, an overwhelming sense of gratitude for his healing. The life application for this parable explores how we too can live in a state of gratitude for what we have been given. Come and visit us in Lansdowne, PA, when you are close by. You will be most welcome.

Beyond Loaves and Fishes: Joshua Week 2

On Tuesday night, October 8, 2019, we plunged into the book of Joshua, studying the first chapters. It was a story of spies in enemy territory, a foreign woman with great faith in Israel's God who outwits the enemy kings troops and sends them off on a wild goose chase. It's a story of rooftop negotiations and a through the wall escape. It was all very exciting. Come see for yourself!. ~Rev. Jeff Snyder

Fall Festival Coming Soon

Lansdowne Baptist Church will have a Fall Festival for the children on Saturday, October 27, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. Children may come in costumes (nothing ghoulish please), games will be played, candy will be available, and for curious adults the pastor will provide a history of the day that has become Halloween, which has a roughly 2500 year history, spanning many cultures.

Come and have fun. We will meet on the lawn in front of the education wing if the weather is fair. If the weather tricks us with bitter cold or rain, we'll meet in the Cooper Room in the office wing.

Come and join us in the celebration.

Faith and Power

Sermon for Sunday, October 6, 2019, based on Luke 17:5-10. Both the disciples and we tend to believe we do not have enough faith to get the job done. We believe Jesus calls us to things far mightier than our puny human faith is capable of. Come and watch and discover the truth of the matter. You might be surprised.
