Walking Prayer: July 7 After Church

Providing the weather cooperates, anyone interested in learning/practicing the spiritual discipline of the walking prayer is invited to join us at the John Heinz Wildlife Refuge. We will gather in the Lansdowne Baptist parking lot at 12:30 p.m. and then head on over to the refuge. There is no admission or parking fee involved at the wildlife refuge, so all you need is an hour of time and an open mind.

The walking prayer is an opportunity to open oneself to God through God's creation, using every sense to observe the natural world and allow God to speak to us through God's handiwork. A word of warning: prayer done well can be a transformative experience. Walk with us and with God on Sunday afternoon, and you may leave a changed person.

Come and see.
