Easter Egg Hunt 2019!

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, Lansdowne Baptist Church held a community Easter Egg Hunt. It was a small affair this year that we hope will grow over time. 180 eggs were hidden, most containing small religious items ... and some with candy of course, and our entrepid crew of egg hunters found every last one of them.

It was wonderful to introduce our family from Cameroon to the ways of the egg hunt and have the parents help prepare and hide the eggs and their children to find them. Our youngest hunter, a toddler, wasn't so sure what was going on but was delighted to discover the eggs made a satisfying rattle when shaken.

It was a blessed day, a wonderful time of fellowship, and a terrific reminder we need to rejoice all that Jesus did for us out of love. We can and should share that love in as many ways as we can imagine. And, yes, that includes the venerable Easter Egg Hunt. Join us next year. We'll have plenty of eggs and a whole new way to hunt for them.

The community is invited to share our joy with us. All are welcome.
