Walking Prayer: October 29, 2016

Join us
On Saturday, October 29, 2016, LBC members made another walking prayer at the John Heinz Wildlife Refuge. It is an opportunity to be still and be with God while slowly walking through the natural world wondering at God's amazing handiwork. Once again, it was a rewarding experience, leaving us rested and in awe. When we put away the technology (well, except for binoculars through which to watch and admire the birds found throughout the reserve) and just observed with all our senses, it was amazing how abundant the wildlife was, both large and small. It made this walker wonder just how much I do not notice going on all around me on a busy day. God's handiwork is everywhere, if we'll stop and notice. Unfortunately, my phone camera is insufficient to zoom in on all the birds that were everywhere we looked.
Where we meet to begin.

A little more about the refuge ...
God has given us a wonderful world to care for. Getting to know it better makes us all better stewards, and happier ones too.
Invitation to roam ...
