Christmas Fair Success 2016

Taking a moment to thank everyone who was involved in creating another successful Christmas Fair. It takes months of planning, preparation, and hard work to make it happen. We also wish to thank the entire community who showed up to take part in Grandma's Attic, the Craft Fair, our Silent Auction, the Bake Sale, and the Christmas Cafe. Our talented cooks kept people well fed. The bake sale tempted people with a wide range of seasonal treats and soups. The silent auction had a wide range of material up for bidding, including five refurbished computers that sold well and were a real deal.

Everyone had a lot of fun and Lansdowne Baptist Church received funds we can now turn into future community service for the community.

We also were able to promote all of the upcoming events in this busy month, including Sunday December 18th's children's pageant during the 11 a.m. worship hour in which the children of the church and friends who come along will participate in a clever retelling of the Christmas story and the 7:00 p.m. annual Candlelight Service in which we have a full service of nine lessons and carols followed by a truly unique lighting of candles, bringing light back to a darkened sanctuary followed by the singing of Silent Night by candlelight. Also, we have the Sunday, December 25, Christmas morning service in which we celebrate once again Jesus' arrival in song and word.

Consider yourself invited to each and every one of these events.

Once again, a heartfelt thanks to all who made this year's Christmas Fair a tremendous success and a joy to attend.

God bless you all in this Christmas season.
