When Jesus rode into Jerusalem at Passover, many were looking for a conquering Messiah to save them from the Roman occupation by force. Jesus had other ideas ... as we shall see in this Palm Sunday sermon.

Bearing Much Fruit

God wants us to follow Jesus fearlessly, to give up the worst aspects of our natures in favor of God’s far more gracious aspects, and to live a life that is full and purposeful. This leads to joy for us all.

God Loved the World

When the gospel writers spoke of salvation from God, consequences to humanity of accepting or rejection God's action was always a secondary issue. Primary in the authors' minds was that God did what God had done out of love for humanity, love for all the world. It is a message of good news that has, sadly, often been misused. Please pay particular attention to the message concerning human judgment on the salvation of others found near the end of the sermon. May you have peace. Lenten Prayer Services 2015

Come and join us on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM on March 4, 11, and 25, and April 1 for our annual Lenten Prayer Services. We will be exploring our faith together, examining where we are headed on our journeys with God, and learn a spiritual discipline each evening that will help get us there as we head toward Easter Sunday. Each service will last between one half hour and forty-five minutes. It is a beautiful way to gather in a faith community and reflect on all Jesus has done for us.
